OK, I am new at this and only have five minutes before I get my mom for breakfast, but here is our first post. Tomorrow I will get the pics and text in the right place. Chris and I will do this together, today it is me, with editorial help. We got to the airport too early as is the custom.
Had a wonderful lunch at a place that I ate at two years ago when I was at the SDA conference, very funky! They have Tango every Friday night.
We then rested before going to see Georgeane and Ray, her husband of 13 years. Please look at the living room, those who know the (always unfinished, now finally finished!) house. Ray has done a swell job with all the house. Really beautiful. Off to Stillwater for dinner at the Lowell Inn.
Very long day, exhausted. Fun though.
So sad about Barnes and Noble maybe closing its last 675 stores. Life as we know it is over. Very sad. No sitting in a store and turning the pages of lovely art books and being engrossed in another world.
(Chris here: we're breakfasting here at the Holiday Inn Express. The scrambled egg simulacra is very convincing. Today we begin our adventure in earnest, heading westward like our ancestors did, intrepid, courageous, stocked with Dr Pepper! Excelsior!)

Happy Trails!
